| Details: OVERALL FUNCTION: To provide engineering and troubleshooting assistance to the Site Manufacturing Processes in order to maintain and improve the operability, quality, and cost of the unit.  POSITION DUTIES: * - critical ones  Process Safety: * Actively support Site Safety and Environmental Programs:  Process Safety Management                      i.     Management of Change (CODs) - Initiate and implement COD, completing associated documentation.                      ii.     Process Hazard Analysis Participation or Facilitation role                      iii.     Incident Investigation - Leads or participates in incident investigations in order to ensure identification of root cause. Completes assigned tasks from Process Incident Investigations                     iv.     May sponsor or participate on some Site Specific PSM Elements commitees. May lead or participate on the Highly Toxic Materials (HTM) Guardian committees. Lead and participate on Site Safety and Environmental Audits. Initiate and implement minor projects to improve safety and environmental.  Plant Operation: * Provide daily support for the operation including, monitoring process performance, product quality, troubleshooting of process, mechanical reliability, and waste issues in order to ensure business production goals are met. Lead campaign-specific operator training and assist operations team leaders with operator qualification in order to ensure that operators have the necessary skills to run the process. Provide communications to operators and operations team leaders around process issues in order to facilitate the making of appropriate decisions. * Monitor production performance metrics including production vs. plan, uptime, FPFQY,UCRs  and process capability in order to determine progress against established goals. Provide input in order to allow Operations Team Leader, Maintenance Team Leader and Changeover coordinator to track critical components and develop list of shutdown and changeover work requirements. Provide off-hours assistance to operations in order to maximize uptime. Unit Improvements: * Works closely with other engineers and Unit Technology Leaders to identify, develop and implement process improvement programs, including uptime, mechanical reliability, yields, quality, changeover effectiveness and efficiency, energy reduction and waste minimization. Generates, supports or leads six sigma projects per business needs. Performs or reviews experiments (TA's) on the process in order to improve the safety, quality, environmental impact or cost of the production unit. Assist the UTL or others in the engineering function in order to consider and evaluate long-term improvement work such as designing new equipment, project management and implementation. * Provide engineering support for introduction of new products, including equipment selection, writing detailed operating instructions, training operators and providing coverage during start-up. Maintains up-to-date CTQ Flowdown for products of responsibility. Technology Ownership: Each PE will own some specific technology for the site. He/She will be the main engineering expert for troubleshooting, process improvement and technology renewal (examples- dryer, columns, centrifuge, etc). * Develop new operating procedures and incorporate changes from COD's and projects, and update and revise P&ID's and SOC's according to the safety and quality system requirements of the site in order to meet DuPont Standard and Guidelines. * Investigates quality incidents and develops effective recommendations to prevent recurrence. Also, completes assigned action items. * Completes technical documentation such as Campaign Reports, Yearly Campaign or Unit Summaries, and Pre-Campaign documentation plan. Assist the Unit Technology Leader in order to ensure that the area process documentation is up to date, including operating procedures, technical standards and process drawings.
